Please join Palmetto Conservation Foundation (PCF)and our partners as we discuss the future of the PalmettoTrail in Oconee County!Palmetto Conservation Foundation (PCF) is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose
mission is to conserve natural and cultural resources, preserve historic landmarks, and
promote active outdoor recreation via trails and greenways. PCF’s signature project is
the Palmetto Trail, one of only 16 cross-state hiking trails in the United States and a
designated Federal Millennium Trail. A free public resource for residents and visitors,
the Palmetto Trail provides a venue for active outdoor recreation, access to spectacular
natural beauty and rich cultural history, and economic development via tourism. The
Trail’s 27 passages range from 1.1 to 47 miles and accommodate people of all ages,
abilities, and socioeconomic status.Currently, there is a missing link from the beautiful DevilsFork State Park to Oconee State Park on the Palmetto Trailsystem. Alta Planning and Design will lead participants in adiscussion on how we can work together to complete this
critical connection through the Andrews Pickens RangerDistrict in Sumter National Forest. We want your input aboutthe trail and potential recreational opportunities in the region. There are two opportunities to join the discussion…
