Blue Ridge Electric Co-op Passage - Jocassee Gorges
This 12.3 mile passage (phase 1) begins at Pinnacle Pavilion, formerly known as The Barn, at Table Rock State Park and travels west through land owned by The Wesleyan Camp into the Jocassee Gorges owned by the SC Department of Natural Resources. According to Native American legends, the word Jocassee means “Place of the Lost One.” This description should not be taken lightly. The trail traverses some of the most remote and rugged areas of the state. Visitors will be treated to an abundance of native flowers and wildlife, mountain top vistas, waterfalls, and an impressive boulder field.
