Wear the Right Clothes
Appropriate footwear, socks, and clothing, including rain gear, go a long way towards a comfortable and enjoyable trek. A bandana is great for mopping off sweat, and a good hat and sunscreen will keep you for getting burned, even on cloudy days. The weatherman is not always right, so come prepared for unexpected weather and dress in layers to adjust to temperatures changes.
Trail workdays are fun, rewarding, and offer some great camaraderie. I love being on the Trail with our volunteers! - Suzette Anderson

LEAVE WHAT YOU FIND. The only souvenirs a hiker should come home with are photographs and happy memories. (And maybe an improved fitness level!)
