Length: approximately 4 miles

Difficulty: easy

Trailhead: Meet at the Halfway Creek Parking area (mile 6 on the section 1 Swamp Fox map)

Carpool: No carpool available.

Bring: Comfortable shoes, wear appropriate clothing, plenty of water, and lunch/snacks.

Stay Hydrated
Without enough water, your body simply can’t perform as well. If you feel thirsty, your body is already becoming dehydrated. It is hard to drink too much water when you’re physically exerting yourself. Carry plenty of water and remember your pack will get lighter as the day wears on.

The Trail is meant to bring people together—young and old, rich and poor. It’s not just for hard core backpackers, but for families who want to get out into the woods.
